Wikis
There was a great range of sample Wikis to view and learn from. Thw collaborative aspect of Wikis is fantastic ans a great way for groups and classes to keep informed and interact with each other. Our school is inservicing teachers on Wiki’s, so before too long we will be embracing yet another form of technology and communication.

Library 2.0
Library 2.0, encourages all Library users to access and use many of the tools which connect learners to resources. There is an invitation for users to review these tools. This encourages advancement. The challenges I see are time/staff limitations and technology break downs.

del.icio.us
It’s great to be able to save favourite websites and to access them no matter which PC I am logged on to. It’s also useful to see the websites others find useful on any given topic. As our school has an intranet, and we can create weblinks in the WebOPAC and Learning Areas, I think that del.icio.us has limited whole school use; but great for students to create their own favourites that they can access from school and home.

iGoogle
iGoogle is amazing. I personalised my homepage and found gadgets for maps, books, facebook and Google docs. It will be useful and I’ll be spreading the word.

Google Books
Google books is another useful search tool for finding relevant resources for the curriculum. Google is vast and it seams, never ending. What will they think of next!

Google Maps
Google maps is a useful tool when needing directions. When travelling from home to school the advise was to drive over a median strip. Nothing like local knowledge. When I work out how to post a map into my blog, I will.
